TAMPA (May 29, 2005) - The 2005 Championship Week for the Michelob ULTRA Golf Tour will take place October 3rd through 9th in Orlando, FL.

Championship Week consists of the Sir Elford Cup, a 54-hole, Ryder Cup-style team event, and the National Championship, a 72-hole individual stroke play tournament.

Championship Week will be hosted by the Palm, Magnolia, Lake Buena Vista and Eagle Pines golf courses in beautiful Lake Buena Vista, FL outside of Orlando. Magnolia and Palm golf courses are the annual host of the PGA Tour's FUNAI Classic.

The Sir Elford Cup consists of a field of 12-person teams (2 in each flight) representing individual Tour cities, competing in three separate 18-hole formats over 54 holes: 2 person best-ball, scramble and individual match play. The defending Sir Elford Cup champions from Phoenix, AZ bested 21 other teams last year to take the Cup from 2003 champs Palm Springs, CA.

The individual stroke-play National Championship will consist of qualifiers in each of 12 flights (6 regular, 6 senior) competing over 72 holes with a cut at 54 holes. The final round will take place on the Magnolia golf course.

The week will also consist of a series of player parties at locations in and around the Orlando area. The host courses and hotels are just minutes from a number of area attractions for those combining the event with a family vacation.

This year's events will draw an expected 450 qualifiers from across the US. For details on qualification, please contact the local Tour Director in your area.

Details on Championship Week, such as event itineraries, rules and formats, pricing, hotel and car rental information, etc., will be available soon on the official Championship Week Web site.
